Scope of Work
- Supply & install over concrete foundations for two pumping sets including pump, motor installed on a bedplate for fresh water
- Supply & install the suction and discharge pipe work inside the pumping station and up to the limit
- Supply and install the above mentioned pumping sets all electrical accessories, cables, starter switchgear, …etc and all interconnecting cables from the transformer to the pumps, motors
- The water will be stored at the AZWDC in ten 227,000 m3 reinforced concrete reservoirs. After further disinfection, the water will be pumped to the reservoir storage complex at Mina Abdullah.
- Water will be conveyed throughout the scheme in buried ductile iron trunk pipelines in sizes up to 1,600mm dia.
- The works are to be carried out in various contracts in two phases.
- Water pipes are generally of ductile iron with flexible rubber ring joints in dia. Up to 1800mm
- Drainage pipes are generally of reinforced concrete with flexible rubber ring joints in dia. Up to 2000mm
- Service pipes and sampling pipes of smaller diameters are in ductile iron
