Scope of Work
This Contract comprises of the Construction , Completion and Maintenance of The Roads and Infrastructure Works
SABAH AL-SALEM AREA
The works shall include but not limited to the following:
Construction of Temporary Roads, Detours, and Temporary Pedestrian Crossings:
- This work shall consist of site clearance, excavation, backfilling, compaction, shaping and laying the different courses of pavement and supply and installation of related safety regulation facilities and their removal and disposal when no longer required as instructed by the Engineer.
- Provision of barricades, barriers, road signs and warning lamps and their removal and disposal when no longer required.
- Design, supply and installation or construction of temporary pedestrian crossings, temporary fencing and related safety measures, their removal and disposal when no longer required.
Construction of New Roads:
This work shall consist of site clearance, removal of temporary pavement (if any), excavation, backfilling, shaping, compacting, constructing the kerbs and the different courses of asphalt pavements for roads and installation of traffic sings, etc. all as specified and as shown on the Drawings.
Stormwater Drainage Works:
This work shall consist of construction of new manholes and gullies; supply and laying of new concrete pipes and fittings; supply and casting of plain and reinforced concrete for culverts and various structures; supply and installation of heavy duty new cast iron manhole covers, gully gratings and iron steps; excavation, backfilling and compaction; and miscellaneous other works, as specified and shown on the Drawings and as directed by the Engineer.
Sanitary Sewerage Works:
This work shall consist of excavation, backfilling for sewers, supply and laying Vitrified Clay Pipes and fittings, construction manholes, supply and casting plain and reinforced concrete works, supply and installing manhole covers and frames and all other miscellaneous works.
Construction of Other Utility Works:
This work shall consist of excavation, backfilling, supply and casting plain and reinforced concrete works, supply and installing and or protection of existing Ministry of Electricity and Water Utilities and Ministry of Communications Works and Irrigation Works.
